Colmar International Festival 2026

The Colmar International Festival 2026 invites audiences to experience classical music in the heart of Alsace, where historic architecture, intimate venues, and outstanding artistry come together to create one of France’s most elegant musical celebrations. From 5 to 14 July 2026, the city of Colmar becomes a meeting place for internationally acclaimed musicians, rising talents, and passionate listeners, offering a programme filled with emotion, discovery, and unforgettable performances.

Programme
Johannes Brahms: Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 in B flat major, op. 83
Johannes Brahms: Symphony no. 3 in F major, Op.90
Overview

The young prodigy Lukas Sternath – First Prize winner of the 2022 ARD Competition and ECHO Rising Star – returns to the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the passionate baton of Jakob Hrůša for an all-Brahms tribute.

A masterful fresco in which virtuosity becomes intimacy, the Second Concerto opens the evening with its almost symphonic grandeur. The Third Symphony, luminous and majestic, crowns the programme. A pinnacle of humanity and lyricism.
