Born in Sallent, tenor Roger Padullés was trained as a soloist in the specialties of Lied-oratorio and opera in Freiburg (Germany) and in the Opéra-studio of the Théatre National du Rhin in Strasbourg (France).
He has received top honors in international competitions such as the Francisco Viñas 2009 in Barcelona (2nd Absolute Prize and Plácido Domingo Prize for the best tenor), the Ville de Toulouse or the Lied contest Nadia et Lili Boulanger in Paris.
In the field of opera he has performed in theaters such as the Capitole de Toulouse, Teatro Municipal de Chile, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Palau de les Arts in Valencia or Opéra National du Rhin, singing roles as Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Idomeneo (Idomeneo),Tom Rakewell (The Rake's Progress), Nadir (Les pêcheurs de perles) or Andres (Wozzeck).
Roger Padullés has sung under the baton of masters such as Zubin Mehta, Leopold Hager, Pedro Halffter or Pablo Heras-Casado and for stage directors such as Laurent Pelly, Christoph Marthaler, Alex Ollé (La fura dels Baus) and Peter Brook.
In the liederístico plane and of oratorio he has interpreted recitals in the Capitole of Toulouse, the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg or in the Rosenblatt Recital Series of London. His album «Mompou songs», alongside pianist Iain Burnside and edited by Opus Arte in London, received the prize for best classic record of the year 2015 by the magazine Classic 440.
He also continues his work in the field of ancient music with recitals in the National Auditorium in Madrid, Miguel Delibes Auditorium in Valladolid, Auditorium and Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona or the Palau de la Música Valenciana.
